From a suburban area in imperial times to the heart of monumental Rome, where legends and truths tell the story of Rome from the ancient Romans to the present day.

Philosophy, art and architecture enclosed in the golden kingdom of Hadrian and his urban project of the Campus Martius. Of most of the monuments in the Campus Martius very little remains visible, in fact many of them are hidden or have been incorporated into the urban landscape of the city. Large parts of the urban layout are still recognisable, while groups of buildings or single palaces, built on the ruins of the monuments, have preserved their layout, volumes and spaces.
