A virtual journey between art and taste to discover a cross-section of daily life in Pompeii, through the tasting of wines produced according to the methods of the ancient Romans.
Pompeii is a jewel of our archaeological heritage, a treasure trove of the past, whose remains tell us so much about the life of the ancient Romans.
The main activity in Pompeii was the production of wine, as evidenced by numerous frescoes. Thanks to the archaeological remains, we can discover a glimpse of daily life in Pompeii, reliving stories that have remained engraved in time and memory.
So the new vines were planted following in the footsteps of the old vines, whose plaster casts can still be seen by filling the void left in the ground by the roots that decomposed after the eruption.
A journey back in time to discover viticulture in the city, exactly as it was until a moment before Vesuvius erupted and wiped out everything, with a visual/olfactory/tasting of the wine that the ancients called "Vesuvius".
